Tuesday's Tree-Chopping Laguna Beach City Council Meeting Agenda!

Come to the meeting in-person, or watch it in your jammies on the Internet.

At the April 9 meeting on Tuesday, the City Council is expected to, among other things ...

  • Vote on a proposal to remove and replace eight trees in the downtown area as part of the Citywide Sidewalk Replacement project.
  • Vote on an appeal of a Planning Commission approval to add a 200-foot extension of sidewalk on the east side of Laguna Canyon Frontage Road adjacent to Woodland Drive.
  • Accept a donation in the amount of $4,015 from Robert Boyd to fund the replacement of the drinking fountain at Crescent Bay Point Park to include a dog bowl.

  • Award a contract to Fehr & Peers, for the amount of $9,300, to design enhanced crosswalks and bike route signing and striping along Glenneyre Street from Forest Avenue to Bluebird Canyon Drive, and to design a temporary roundabout at a location to be determined. They'll also award a $4,200 contract to design bike route signing and striping along Cliff Drive from Viejo Street to Aster Street.

There will also be the usual grab-bag of approvals of minutes, denials of claims, awardings of contracts, receiving of reports, stuff about stuff, and much, much more!
