Tuesday's Sand-Sculpting City Council Meeting Agenda!

At Tuesday's (July 15) meeting, the Laguna Beach City Council is expected to, among other things:

  • Transfer $500,000 from the Lifeguard Headquarters project to the Pacific Vista Slope Stabilization and Storm Damage Repair project.
  • Vote to approve Laguna Art Museum's proposal for a piece to be sculpted into the sand by artist Jim Denevan as part of the museum's "Art and Nature" event this November. Denevan's work is really cool, actually, and you should check this video out to see how he operates.
  • Adopt the Resolution that approves designating trees as City Heritage Trees on 12 properties located in South Laguna, including the six city-owned trees at Village Green Park.
There will also be the usual grab-bag of approvals of minutes, denials of claims, awardings of contracts, receiving of reports, stuff about stuff, and much, much more!

The Fab Five meet at 6 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 505 Forest Ave. Click here to view the complete agenda and click here to watch the meeting live on the Internet.
