Big Red Bros: Laguna Beach High's Drake Martinez to Play for Nebraska

He'll become a Cornhusker like his older brother Taylor, the team's quarterback.

All-county Laguna Beach High footballer Drake Martinez will be following his older brother Taylor in Cornhusker Red: the senior Breaker has committed to play his college football for the University of Nebraska, reports the Omaha World Herald.

Drake was one of the key players who led the Breakers to their second straight Southern Division semifinal. He ran for 1,613 yards for the Breakers last season, and scored 34 touchdowns, seven on kick returns—stats which made him an easy pick for the Orange County Register's All-County team.

The younger Martinez had visited Tennessee, San Diego State, Michigan State, Vanderbilt, and several other colleges before deciding on Nebraska.
