It was a surprisingly close game for the Breakers, who went up against a Northwood squad that had a regular season record of just four wins against six losses. The Breakers had gone undefeated all year, with some games ending in blowouts, and led Friday's match at one point by a 21-7 score. But Northwood bounced back and tied it up in the 4th quarter. It was deadlocked until the final 13 seconds, when the Breakers' Jake Hexberg scored the go-ahead TD.

This was a historic win for the Breakers, who earned their 11th win of the year, the most of any football team in the school's 79-year history.
