Empowering Orange County Families: 8th Annual 2012 Family Resource Fair

Community–Fun for Kids–Education–Therapies–Adult Transition.

The 8th Annual 2012 Family Resource Fair will be held on March 21, 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Irvine High School Main Gym, 4321 Walnut Ave, Irvine.

The event is a collaborative effort sponsored by the Irvine Unified School District, Saddleback Valley Unified School District and Laguna Beach Unified School District. The districts’ Community Advisory Committees (CAC) have taken a leadership role in preparing for this year’s event.  Entry is free of charge.

Irene White, LBUSD Director of Special Education/Student Services, remarks, “The Laguna Beach Unified School District CAC Members/ Parent Mentors have been excited to assist Irvine Unified School District and Saddleback Valley Unified School District with the planning of the Annual Family Resource Fair. This fun filled event is guaranteed to provide families with resources as well as new strategies to improve student achievement.”

Seminar topics include:

  • Living with Autism
  • Organizing Your Child for Academic Success
  • Workshop on Special Needs Trusts, Wills and Guardianship
  • Promoting Self-Determined and Self-Sufficient Youth Who are Prepared to Meet the Challenges of the Future
