The CAC of the South Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SOC SELPA) Presents 'Transitions from Preschool through High School & Beyond – Strategies for Making Transitions Work'

 The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) of the South Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SOC SELPA) proudly presents, 'Transitions from Preschool through High School & Beyond – Strategies for Making Transitions Work.' Please join us for this interactive Parent Education workshop on Wed., May 18, 2011, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Saddleback Valley Unified School District Board Room at 25631 Peter A Hartman Way in Mission Viejo.

 

WHO: The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) is a group of parents, students, and special and general educators who meet to advise the South Orange County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA), comprised of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District and the Laguna Beach Unified School District, on special education issues for children with exceptional needs and priorities to facilitate parent education.

WHAT: This interactive Parent Education workshop entitled, 'Transitions from Preschool through High School & Beyond – Strategies for Making Transitions Work,' will feature an interactive small group format discussing four important transitions, including: Preschool to Elementary; Elementary to Middle/Intermediate; Middle/Intermediate to High School; and High School to Beyond High School. The workshop facilitators are staff and parents who have successfully navigated these transitions!
