Get Out: What To Do This Weekend in Laguna Beach

Raise funds for global dental health at an art gallery soiree, get some holiday garden decorating ideas, raise awareness for pedestrian safety, see "Into the Woods" at Laguna Beach High or make Acjachemen tribal toys with the family.

GLOBAL GRINS FUNDRAISER AT JOANNE ARTMAN GALLERY
WHERE/WHEN? , 326 North Coast Highway, 6-8 p.m. on Thursday (that's tonight!)
WHY GO? To help prevent serious health issues, Global Grins sends toothbrushes worldwide to people in need. The Blues Offenders will provide live music, Royal Hawaiian will serve up some yummy food, and Bianchi Winery will be pouring their best. GARDEN HOLIDAY DECORATING IDEAS FROM RUBEN FLORES

SAFER PASSAGES AWARENESS WALK 
WHERE/WHEN? Meets at 505 Forest Avenue. Friday, 10 a.m.
WHY GO? Show your support for Pamela Burrus, who is trying to make streets safer for pedestrians. Burrus' late husband, Dr. David R. Burrus, was killed in Los Angeles while crossing in a cross walk. Participants will walk from the downtown fire department building to Main Beach and back. For more information, CLICK HERE.

LAGUNA BEACH HIGH PRODUCTION OF INTO THE WOODS
WHERE/WHEN? Artists' Theatre at 625 Park Avenue. Six performances over two weekends beginning Friday at 7:30 p.m.
WHY GO? If you enjoy musical theatre and fairy tales, Into the Woods is for you. Come watch the LBHS students perform Stephen Sondheim's musical full of characters from Grimm's colorful stories. For more information, CLICK HERE.

NATIVE AMERICAN TOYS AND GAMES FAMILY PRESENTATION
WHERE/WHEN? Laguna Coast Wilderness Park at the Little Sycamore Canyon Staging Area/Nix Nature Center (on the west side of Laguna Canyon Road, approximately 3.5 miles south of the 405) Saturday, 1-4 p.m.
WHY GO? Jacque Tahuka-Nunez is a member of the Acjachemen Nation. Not only is she an Acjachemen cultural consultant, but she's a master storyteller, singer and teacher. She will offer a cultural presentation at 2 p.m., and families can make toys and games before and after the presentation. For more information, CLICK HERE.
