Get Out: What To Do This Weekend in Laguna Beach

Enjoy vegetarian food and watch a veggie film, see LBHS dancers interpret music, hurry over to the last weekend of Sawdust's Winter Fantasy, volunteer to clean up the beach or carry an umbrella in the name of PEACE.

TRANSITION LAGUNA BEACH POT LUCK AND MOVIE NIGHT
WHERE/WHEN? , 340 St. Ann's Drive. Potluck at 6:30 p.m., film at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 (tonight!)
WHY GO? Wanna be more like Natalie Portman, Albert Einstein, Ellen Degeneres or Gandhi? Then go veggie! TLB supports Laguna Beach's switch to sustainability, and they're inviting folks to bring a vegetarian dish to share with others. After dinner, watch the film Forks Over Knives, which claims "many degenerative diseases can be controlled or even reversed by rejecting animal-based and processed foods." LAGUNA BEACH HIGH DANCE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS PERCEPTIONS
WHERE/WHEN? Artist's Theatre at , 625 Park Ave. Thurs.-Sat., 7:30 p.m.
WHY GO? Come experience the beauty of dance set to the music of Justin Timberlake, Jessie J, Bjork, Rod Stewart, Simon & Garfunkel and a variety of other artists for these three performances. FINAL WEEK! SAWDUST WINTER FANTASY FESTIVAL
WHERE/WHEN? Sawdust Festival grounds at 935 Laguna Canyon Rd. Fri.-Sat., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sun., 10 a.m.-7 p.m. 
WHY GO? It's your last chance to taste hot cocoa, hear holiday music and watch artisans create their works at the beautiful grounds. ORANGE COUNTY PARKS/ALISO BEACH CLEANUP DAY
WHERE/WHEN? , 31131 S. Coast Highway. Saturday, 9 a.m.-noon.

MATT LAMB UMBRELLAS FOR PEACE EVENT
WHERE/WHEN? , 460 S. Coast Highway. Exhibition will be Saturday from 6-9 p.m., and the Lamb Umbrellas for Peace event will take Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon. 
WHY GO? Be a part of a beautiful and meaningful event created by artist Matt Lamb. Buy an umbrella or get one out of your closet. Decorate it with designs that symbolize to you the meaning of "PEACE." Join others in front of the gallery and then walk through town. CLICK HERE to watch a video  of the Aurora, Illinois event.
