“A Home of Their Own” Glennwood House of Laguna Beach Second Annual Art Auction
When/Where: Saturday, April 28, 2-5 p.m. Glennwood House of Laguna Beach, 2130 S. Coast Hwy.
Why go? Several local artists have donated their work to be auctioned off for the Glennwood House of Laguna Beach. The home offers group housing for 50 young adults with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism and more. The Glennwood House provides a series of programs, activities and assisted independence. All of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Glennwood House. Live Painting Demonstrations by Laguna College of Art & Design Students at Weekend Wine Tasting/Grapes for Grads
When/Where: Sunday, April 29, noon-4 p.m. Tivoli Too, 777 Laguna Canyon Rd.
Why go? For seven years, Grapes for Grads has been providing scholarships to students who show exemplary talent, a commitment to community service and for whatever reason may be lacking funds to continue their artistic education. An exciting element of the day will include the students of LCAD demonstrating their talents live throughout the event. Attendees will enjoy a day of unlimited wine tasting from over 80 fine wines, delicious food prepared by and , live music performed by Magnolia Memoir, and a drawing for a night’s stay at the fabulous . A Spiritual Trip to India

Five Laguna Beach travelers received an abundance of individually tailored gifts: glimpses into the nature of the divine, insights about themselves and the realization that the West can learn much about living well from the people of the Third World. The group wishes to share their “Spiritual Tour of India” with a slide show, discussion and Indian meal provided by participants.
