Got a Laguna Beach Business? Buy an Ad and Support LBUSD Schools

The SchoolPower Student Directory is "the best-read book in town."

Submitted by SchoolPower:

Just two weeks into the official ad campaign for the 2013-14 Student Directory, SchoolPower is already a quarter of the way to the goal of raising $70,000 in support of Laguna Beach public schools through this popular publication.

All businesses are invited to advertise and encouraged to take advantage of an early bird special offering preferred placement to those whose ad and payment is submitted by April 15.

Known as “the best read book in town,” the SchoolPower Student Directory has been keeping Laguna Beach families connected to each other and local businesses for over 20 years. Advertisers enjoy yearlong visibility to an exclusive local audience, as all 2,000 families in the Laguna Beach Unified School District receive a copy of the Directory and use it consistently throughout the year for student, school and business contact information.

Under the leadership of Chair Melissa Cavanaugh, last year’s Directory had a record number of full-page advertisers with over $72,000 in ad sales. Cavanaugh expects to match or exceed that success again this year thanks to the generosity of local businesses.

“I am so grateful to the many businesses in our community that offer such generous and enthusiastic support of SchoolPower,” she said. “Whether a first-time or long-term advertiser, a sponsor, Laguna Locals Card business, or a Business Alliance partner, it is people like them who make a difference for all of our 3,000+ kids in Laguna Beach public schools.”

The deadline for advertising is April 30. All advertisers will be invited to SchoolPower’s Business Appreciation Party at Nirvana Grille in late May, where the Directory cover ads spaces will be auctioned.
