The Laguna Beach High football team is on the cusp of doing something few other Breakers—or Artists—teams have done in the long history of the school: play for a CIF Southern Section championship.
To do that, they'll need to get past Garden Grove High in tonight's game, also at Garden Grove. Game time is 7 p.m., with the winner going on to face the victor of the Corona del Mar-Woodbridge clash, also being played out tonight.
"To do something that no other football team at this school has done before, is something these players have a lot to be proud of," Laguna Coach Mike Churchill told the Coastline Pilot's Mike Sciacca.
