The team won its season opener Wednesday against Dana Hills.

The Laguna Beach High girls' water polo team began its season Wednesday with a victory, knocking off Dana Hills, 11-5.

Head coach Ethan Damato and his crew will be looking to improve on last year's results, when they nearly advanced to the CIF Southern Section Division 1 title game, but came up short in overtime to Newport Harbor.

The Breakers' next home match will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, against San Clemente.
