Both boys' and girls' squads finish off the year with some big wins.

The Laguna Beach High School surf team wrapped up a perfect season last weekend at the Scholastic Surf Series final event stop 5, at Oceanside Harbor, North Jetty.

In team competition, Laguna Beach was up against El Toro and cleaned up with nearly every team member advancing into the individual rounds. The surf for the event was a little challenging with breezy, bumpy conditions, but our kids did great.

Zach Levine stepped in for Blair Conklin in the bodyboard and surfing and followed up with his bodyboard domination taking the win. Many of our surfers have been surfing dual divisions for us all season and once again we were extremely hard to beat.

Tobie Grierson took first place overall in boys shortboard and 3rd in longboard, while Cameron DePfyffer took the big win in longboard and was 2nd in shortboard. Cam finished the season rated first in both surfing and longboard.

Eric Siegrist was solid once again, taking 4th in both shortboard and longboard.

Austin Silvers looked good in shortboard and finished in 4th.

Meanwhile, our girls were very strong, doing double duty in both shortboard and longboard. It was a big day for Marlee Grosher as she took 1st in the longboard and 2nd in the shortboard. Coco Putnum once again put in a huge effort and took 4th in the shortboard and 5th in the longboard. Coco finished rated 1st in longboard, while Blair Conklin finished rated first in bodyboard.

It has been so much fun to see our team thrive in these fun events, we are proud of you all. Thank you all for your big effort and support all season!
