Laguna Beach Unified's API Test Scores Improve

Thurston has the biggest gains, while El Morro's numbers drop.

The overall Academic Performance Index (or API) scores improved nine points to 904 this year over 2010, according to results released today.

saw the most growth, going from 906 in 2010 to 934 in 2011.

and both saw modest gains, moving from scores of 876 to 884 and 916 to 919, respectively.

was the only school that experienced a decline in scores, dropping from 903 to 893.

The statewide API target for all schools is 800, which LBUSD exceeded by a wide margin.
