LBUSD Elementary School Counselor Jami Parsons is pleased to announce Laura
Rivas, M.S., P.P.S. M.F.T., as the expert presenter. “We are so excited to be able to offer parent education in town for our elementary parents. This class is being taught by an experienced therapist who has also worked in the school system for many years. She is able to help families pinpoint what isn’t working and provide concrete skills to manage challenging behaviors, set boundaries, establish routines and consequences and navigate family change. 'Loving Solutions' is part of an evidenced based K-12 parent education curriculum utilized by neighboring communities with great success. We are pleased to have Ms. Rivas as a resource in Laguna as well!”

El Morro Elementary School Principal Chris Duddy concurs. “Parent education is so important and often overlooked. Parenting is very difficult in today’s day and age and there is no instructional manual for raising children. We are pleased to offer this opportunity to our parents and we are looking forward to positive outcomes.”
