LBHS Football: Breakers Trounce St. Margaret's

That's no way to treat a saint ...

The Laguna Beach High Breakers football team beat up on St. Margaret's Friday night at Guyer Field, by a 31-17 score.

The victory improved the team's record to 3-0-1.

LBHS senior Robert Clemons III was a standout, rushing for 152 total yards and three touchdowns—one of them a 78-yard punt return he ran back for six points. Jason Saltzman at OCVarsity.com has the details.

The team's homestand continues this Friday, Sept. 28, against Pioneer at Guyer Field. Game time is 7 p.m. -- and don't forget the food trucks!

Beat up? To say LB "beat up" on STM is absurd. It was a one touchdown game essentially and I would say STM physically pounded LB. Special teams are a third of the game and LB was much better there, which gave them the victory. LB was timely and had the big plays when they needed them. Great HS football game that could have went either way.

OK, fair enough. How about "endured a mildly painful shin-kicking?"

Much better! :)
