New Textbooks Under Review, Including a Ukulele Book!

The Laguna Beach Unified School District just announced its list of new high school textbooks now available for public review -- in case anyone might find them a bit too pinko-Commie-lovin' like some folks did over in Capo Unified -- and one title in particular caught our eye: Ukulele Method Book 1.

Yep indeedy-do, parents! These taxpayer-supported schools are hell-bent on indoctrinating your innocent, unsuspecting children into the ways of the ukulele, an unholy instrument of Satan second only to the glockenspiel. Hopefully someone, somewhere in the LBUSD will find this book offensive enough to lodge a complaint, only because we really want something to crack jokes about.

People have till July 8 to sift through the pages of the new books, which are being kept at the LBUSD office at 550 Blumont. St. between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
