In celebration of the silver anniversary of Laguna Beach High’s famed Shap Show, a special alumni edition is being presented by SchoolPower Endowment on Saturday, May 11 at 7:30 pm in the Artists Theatre.

Showcasing the talents of former LBHS performers accompanied by the school's most charismatic math teacher and skilled acoustic guitarist, Mr. Gary Shapiro, all proceeds from the show will benefit the LBUSD orchestral strings program.

Dubbed “No Suits Allowed” to reflect the show and its namesake’s casual and welcoming style, the Shap Show has been a much-anticipated annual event since 1989 when Shapiro first hosted it as a fundraiser for the senior class. The Alumni Shap Show’s 20-plus musical acts will be an exciting display of talent spanning the years of this impressive legacy.

“Not only will this entertaining evening be an opportunity to honor Gary Shapiro for 25 years of raising funds for senior graduation activities but it will also help to support the SchoolPower Endowment Fund’s commitment to expand the school district’s orchestral strings program,” said Endowment President Bill Moore.
