Taco-Eating Contest and Football Finish Off LBHS Homecoming Week

The Breakers sent Calvary Chapel packing, 56-13. Also: free tacos!

As part of Homecoming Week at Laguna Beach High School, a pep rally took place Friday afternoon in the gym, part of which included a students-versus-teachers taco-eating contest sponsored by the local Taco Bell outlet on Coast Highway. The winning taco team each received $10 gift cards.

The taco promo extended to the homecoming football game itself last night. If the Breakers won—and they did, pretty much turning Calvary Chapel into a Mexican pizza by a score of 56-13—then everyone with an LBHS student ID card was awarded a free taco today, Saturday, Oct. 21, at the same Taco Bell locale between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Chances are the lunch rush will be especially busy ...
