Top of the World Students Run in OC Marathon Event

The kids took on the one-mile Kids Run the OC Marathon, which encourages healthy eating and fitness habits.

On Saturday, May 4th, 80 Top of the World Elementary School students participated in the one-mile Kids Run the OC Marathon event (KROC).

This run was an exciting culmination of a twelve-week fitness training program.

TOW parents and teachers implemented the KROC program this spring, which aims to encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits among participating children.

During the program, KROC students engaged in 25.2 miles of moderate to vigorous physical activity.

After running in the KROC event on Saturday, these students have accumulated 26.2 miles, the full distance of a marathon, and will receive an official OC Marathon medal.
