We're No. 589! LBHS Ranked as One of Best Schools in U.S.

Laguna Beach High fares well in the annual list compiled by U.S. News and World Report.

U.S. News & World Report released its annual list of the nation's best schools, and Laguna Beach High wound up at No. 589.

That may not sound too impressive, but it's noteworthy considering that the publication reviewed 21,776 public high schools, through data collected via the U.S. Department of Education and other sources. Among California high schools, LBHS landed at number 113.

“It takes teamwork, effort, and drive to create and sustain a high performing high school," Laguna Beach Unified School District Superintendent Sherine Smith said in statement. "On behalf of the Board of Education and Laguna Beach Unified School District, I commend [LBHS principal Joanne] Culverhouse, the students, teachers and staff, and the parents and community who provide us with such deep support.”
