Wave Check Wednesday: Get Out of Town

Looking a little sleepy!

Waking up with the waves on Wednesday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Laguna Beach Patch surf report.  Well, you're not going to find much juice along this stretch of coast, so I suggest heading down south or up north a bit where there's some fun-size surf!

The conditions are mostly clean early on, with a pretty small mix of energy in the water.  We're seeing some fading south southwest swell and smaller northwest wind and groundswell.

That's offering some fairly weak drained-out lines, with a few fun ones on a log or maybe a fish.  Most of Laguna Beach is hanging in the knee- to thigh-high range, with the standout breaks pulling waist-high waves, with an occasional plus set.

Checking the tides ... at 5:39 this morning it drained out to a 0.0 low, which will have many spots lacking water early to mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up to a 3.4 high at 11:54 later this morning and then drops again to a 1.8 low at 4:49 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, wear a 3/2 fullsuit with the water temperature averaging between 58 and 59 degrees.  See ya in the water!
