Chamber's Deadline for Photo Contest is This Saturday

Prettiest Painted Places shines a spotlight on Laguna Beach's most interestingly-colored houses.

Submitted story by the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce:

Prettiest Painted Places (PPP), a program sponsored by the Dow Chemical Company, is conducting a search for those American towns and neighborhoods that have exceptional community‐wide “curb appeal” due to their beautiful exterior paint color schemes. They publicize every community that enters the contest: When they last ran the competition 12 years ago, it was covered by literally thousands of print, broadcast, and online media!

Deadline for entries is Saturday, July 28. Fifteen photos will be selected for submission by the Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce. Just upload your photo of homes or buildings in Laguna Beach and provide a two‐ or three sentence description of the “place” to Kristine.lagunabeachchamber@gmail.com.

PPP judges will select 60 finalists to be published in September 2012. Later, in mid‐October, judges who have worked as journalists with HGTV, the National Home and Living Examiner and other media will select 12 national winners. (To give everyone a fair chance to win, they have divided the U.S. into six geographicregions, and will choose a small and large prettiest painted place from each.) The complete contest rules are posted here.
