First Thursdays Art Walk at AR4T Gallery

It was a lovely Laguna Beach evening for the First Thursday Art Walk, the first of the summer (yes, we know it's not yet "officially" summer, but it's close enough), and had some great work happening both inside and on the sidewalk out front. That's where Isaac Anderson and Adam Watts were showing their collaborative lightbox pieces "Conflextion," which explore issues of empathy and homelessness. Check out the project's Facebook page here or click up their website.

Meanwhile, inside the gallery was the ongoing (until June 24) "Love Kills" show by Robert "Sticky" Shaw, with pieces grounded in Shaw's passion for punk rock and skateboarding.

Skateboarding? Uh-oh ... don't tell the city council, or they'll try to ban it.
