WHERE/WHEN: 650 Laguna Canyon Rd. Performances take place at 8:30 p.m., July 7 - August 31.

WHY GO? You know it, you love it: Laguna Beach's internationally famous (and famously parodied, if you're an Arrested Development fan) festival of "living pictures" has had audiences oooh-ing and ahhh-ing for 80 summers now. Famous works of art are recreated on stage using live actors who have been painted and made up to look like the subjects in the pieces. Live music, live narration, sets, lighting and hundreds of volunteers bring this amazing feat to fruition. This year's theme is "The Genius," which will explore the relationship between art and technology.
