Food Fiiiiight! Two Laguna Beach Charities Bicker Bitterly

The gloves are off in a war between the Laguna Relief and Resource Center and Helping Hand Worldwide.

Here's a strange story from the Coastline Pilot. Seems that two Laguna Beach food charities, the Laguna Relief and Resource Center and Helping Hand Worldwide, have been arguing amongst themselves, with one group—Helping Hand—doing most of the finger-pointing and shouting at the other—the LRRC—over such issues as food handling and—really?—violating the Patriot Act, which Helping Hand founder Sita Helms says the LRRC has done because the law prohibits groups from sending food across the U.S. border. (Pssst ... it doesn't.)
