Sawdust Art Festival

Flag as Inappropriate

Sawdust Art Festival is unique in many ways because the artists that partake in it are often very different from those in the mainstream, and the festival itself is arranged unlike any other art festival. One of the first things any visitor notices is that the floor is covered with sawdust. Unlike the common circular movement of people at art galleries, the layout of this festival is arranged in a more triangular formation. It is also on a slope, so there are different levels, and walking through it is almost like going through a small bazaar. Displays include everything from paintings, drawings, jewelry, fabric designs, and sculptures.
