Thanks for your warnings, Gentlemen. Laguna Beach attracts alot of theives and bums. You must beRead More very careful who you talk to in this town! This woman is a thief and a scammer! She will eventually get out of jail, but there are some men who are trying to entrap this witch! Since everyone in LB knows who she is and what she looks like, she better leave this town! She's being set up now to get caught and when they finally put her away - (where she belongs; in JAIL) she won't get out for a long, long time and I say, GOOD RIDDANCE to a social leech!!!
Jimmy Smits May 19, 2013 at 09:20 am
I'll second all of Jack's comments. She is a menace to society and needs to be locked up for a longRead More time. She has been targetting succesful and dumb mid-age men...yes, they're fools and fall for her young sexy look, but all are taken for something at some point. Many cars stolen, credit cards, cash and god only knows what her promiscuity is taking from one to another. Not only men and woman..but she hooks up with couples as well, be careful if you're into that scene. She's been around, done same things in CO and likely Texas as well. Be warned....
JACK BLACKSTONE May 18, 2013 at 12:19 pm

We have kids trying to kill a guy with skateboards. He was not expected to survive. But becauseRead More they are kids we get no names? Killing someone should have some names. If not the kids, MAYBE, the parents???

You mean the way the goat sings "We are never ever ever getting baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaackRead More together?"
El Toro Resident May 10, 2013 at 07:58 pm
Something about the goat reminds me of Taylor Swift.
Marc Loopesko May 11, 2013 at 04:55 pm
it seems that these people, the way that they were fighting over the money, would have not calledRead More the police unless they knew about the reward money..... sad statement about society these days
Eric Bergstrom May 10, 2013 at 10:16 pm
There are probably some readers out there who would pay for that.

So true, El Toro Resident! Bravo! A Hair, suspicion is just a formality because he hasn't been triedRead More & convicted. Come on, he's been busted twice. He also has quite the reputation around town. I hope he gets help before he hurts or kills someone. I hope it isn't me or a member of my family.
El Toro Resident May 4, 2013 at 12:52 am
A.HAIR, I could care less what your friend Michael has done for the community! A drunk is a drunk,Read More so what if he has more scratch in his pocket than I do! Apparently, you think because he tosses money around town, your going to give him a free pass. The dude is a jerk, This isn't the first time Tomson has had run-ins with the law. Within the past two years, he's plead guilty to DUI and resisting an officer. I bet your comment would be different if he was dirt poor. ONLY then you probably want to throw the book at him..
A. HAIR May 3, 2013 at 08:30 pm
Perhaps you should read the article carefully when it says arrested on suspicion of driving underRead More the influence and possession of a controlled substance. Ei incumbit probation qui dicit, non qui negat(the burden of proof lies with who declares, not who denies) is the principle that one is considered innocent until proven guilty. Perhaps you should allow the evidence to be presented before you judge Michael. It would be interesting to see what your comments would be if you researched how much Michael has done for the community and others rather than read an article with a very shallow comment.
MVGuillena May 6, 2013 at 09:05 am
Neither post used the word "racist" or "racism" - simply calling for sensitivityRead More and responsibilty in the choice of image associated with a news story or public safety announcement.
Anony Mouse May 6, 2013 at 03:25 am
There is lots of racism around.....but this isn't it. Throwing around allegations of racism inRead More situations where it really isn't, like this, cheapens and desensitizes the public to incidents of true racism. It's like the little boy who cried wolf. Cinco de Mayo is a drinking holiday mostly celebrated by drunken white trash. It has little meaning in Mexico. How you can confuse racism with a story about DUI checkpoints containing a picture of a person of unknown race in handcuffs is rather bizarre. Does that mean the person in the photos in the St. Patrick's Day stories is an Irish drunk? Why aren't you asking for more sensitivity there?
MVGuillena May 5, 2013 at 07:20 pm
It is sad that the response to a well-written critique of the Laguna Patch's image choice associatedRead More with this article, is to "take a chill pill". Obviously the "anonymous" writer who does not have the guts to comment using his/her name - can find it so easy to dismiss very valid points from a fellow member of the community. I certainly hope that the editor of the Patch will take the points under review and thoughtfully consider their choice of stock photos to publish alongside their articles.

After the shooting of marine Sgt, Loggins, the shooter was assigned to desk work at Mission ViejoRead More Police Dept.
Joker Joe May 1, 2013 at 01:43 pm
Love these feel good groups. Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas was there. What aRead More show, talking about victims. Why didn't he prosecute the cop that murdered marine Sgt, Loggins in front of his children? Hypocrite!!!!

I don't see an ugly smirk but rather pain and sadness in her eyes. It may be smacking that put itRead More there. She may feel her feathers have been pulled off and her wings have been clipped. Rather than bet I would rather hope and pray that most people will offer help to both the dove and this person who so clearly needs it.
Mike Proctor April 18, 2013 at 03:29 pm
This is another mental health and drug abuse issue that is taking over Laguna Beach. I bet moreRead More people would be willing to help the dove, then help her.
El Toro Resident April 18, 2013 at 12:50 am
She needs a smack to that ugly smirk on her face and someone needs to pull her feathers off.

Thanks for sharing that, Jorge ...

I never had the chance to meet Mark as I was not friends with him. I'm a diver who lives in SantaRead More Clarita. This morning, I and 4 of my friends drove down to Shaw's cove to do a dive. We got in the water and it was a great dive, when we surfaced there were approx 30 people on the beach watching what we were doing. To my surprise it was Mark's family that had come to leave flowers for Mark. I had the chance to meet his mom, who was such a beautiful person. She told me that Mark love to run and that he was adventurous. I wish I could have met Mark. My heart goes out to The Gibbs family.

My heart goes out to the Warren family in their time of sorrow. I imagine there will be a lot ofRead More questions they will be asking themselves in the years and months to come as they work through the stages of their grief. I just know that this kind of pain never goes away - I have lost three family members to suicide by gun......there are no easy answers....you who are left behind must learn to live with the awful consequences of someone else's decision to leave this world with so many issues unadressed or unresolved......
Jonathan Volzke April 12, 2013 at 05:23 pm
Simply put, you thought wrong.

Sadly,...no one noticed for about 7.5 hours. Ooh,... And a tool designed AS a weapon - it is andRead More always will be a weapon. It's not a flashlight or a FORK,... Or even a hammer or knife. A gun is a weapon,... Pointing it at a person or at a empty soda can doesn't change that. It is and will continue to be foremost a weapon. A gun is a weapon. If people truly had the motive just to brake clay discs or target practice,... They can get a gun that shoots bb's or bean bags,... If they laugh at the idea and insist on bullets,....well then,...they choose it as a weapon 1st and foremost,...WHICH IS FINE,... My goodness. That IS what a GUN is FOR. It is to destroy what you are shooting at,.....not to massage it,...or just knock it over,...it is to destroy the intended target. Now,... For the rest of us,.... Suicide is very very common amount young folks. I have always wondered if depressed gay kids who are bullied and beaten who commit suicide are unforgivable in their death according to the above mentioned church or if suicide by depression is more acceptable. Or if the suicide gay youths are deemed less in anyway over a clinically depressed - well loved by friends and family - suicide is more acceptable. Either way,...it is VERY tragic!

This is a good thing for everyone, too many accidents occur due to distracted drivers. A womanRead More swerved in front of me twice on the 73, lots of damage to my car, lucky to be able to walk away as she drove off maybe unaware of what happened.
Richard Wielder May 5, 2013 at 05:44 am
to Engines: My comment applies to you as well. In fact, congratulations on being the first to makeRead More a fool of yourself. At worst, Deborah did not express herself eloquently, though I still say her comment is not wrong, depending on how you define engine and motor. But what is the value of blasting a person who expressed a valid point in a way that might be interpreted in more than one way, especially when the words at the core of the controversy are vague and considered interchangeable by some, but not all people. Maybe you are the silly and grossly misinformed one. You sure are petty and arrogant.
Richard Wielder May 5, 2013 at 05:31 am
To BlamBoom; While the terms engine and motor are very similar and considered by many to beRead More fungible, some refer to fossil fuel power plants as "engines"and to electric power plants as "motors." It's a matter of semantics, but many would argue that Deborah's statement that "The Tesla is an electric car, has no engine, thus no revving possible" is accurate. If you accept the definitions of engine and motor above, it is absolutely correct. Moreover, a Tesla cannot rev it's power plant. Pressing the accelerator with the car in park or neutral does not make it turn. During heavy acceleration the motor makes a faint sound, which would probably not be audible over the sound of the tires, or the revving of the Mercedes. But I wonder what kind of sadistic gratification a person like BlamBoom derives from castigating someone for the syntax of their comment about an horrific, fatal accident? Who should be embarrassed by their thoughtless, callous, gratuitous and arguably incorrect comment? I suspect it is that of a narcissist who regularly says things worthy of scorn and shame though such people are often oblivious to to the contemptible nature of their utterances, expressed with such sound and furry, signifying nothing. The accident was a heartbreaking tragedy. The comment of BlamBoom is a sad commentary on the vile way the wonderful public forum the internet provides is abused by egotists and idiots. I am saddened by both.

Police and other emergency personnel are exempt from the hand-held law. They often don't want to tieRead More up the radio in times of heavy radio traffic and they also don't want some information broadcast over the radio that can be heard by anyone with a scanner.

If the police are to enforce this law in Laguna Beach who's here to enforce the Laguna Police toRead More abide by the same laws? I have seen numerous police officers driving and talking on their cell phones. By the way aren't they on the clock and isn't there any rules about taking personal calls while on duty? I don't know it they're above the law and don't have to abide by the same laws we do? These are questions I have to ask when I try and lead by example. Just saying!

Marc Lemieux April 13, 2013 at 05:19 pm
Why do I care? I'll tell you why because you seem to be the one who is ""äll soRead More stupid". First I am a responsible dog owner, that means that even though I love my pit-bull I recognize that he is strong, stupid, and stubborn. I wouldn't dream of taking him for a walk on that beach even though he is always on a choker/muzzle and I'm built like a 220lb linebacker Secondly it's an issue of celebrity favoritism. You can bet your dumb-A$$ that if Jose Cuervo from Santa Ana was walking his chihuaha on that beach and it chased a sea-lion into the water our friend Jose would have gotten a free ride to jail and a matching set of bracelets, while his dog would have gotten the one-way sight seeing excursion to the "disposition room" at the County Animal Control facility.
WhyDoYouCare? April 13, 2013 at 03:07 am
Why must people care so much about this? You're all so stupid. If this dog is so dangerous, whyRead More hasn't it attacked others? For those saying that the dog that should be put down, have you ever OWNED a dog? If yes, then you should know how dogs act. Even the smallest of dogs can be protective. This is a dog eat dog world.... Or dog eat sea lion in this case. You live or you die. Just forget about it. It's sad true, but seriously, it died. No one gives half a rat's ass about it. If it never died, you would have never cared about it. So why bother now? Pushing for something that you don't even relate to? Go mourn over your own dead family members.
