Cheryl Pruett is an award-winning journalist and editor, having covered Orange County city topics from police and fire to city council and the food scene. Her journalistic roles have included writing for the Orange County Register, business-to-business publications, the Orange County Bar Association and Orange County Medical Association. She has called South Orange County home for more than 25 years, putting down roots in Laguna Beach and Dana Point/Capistrano Beach. She grew to love San Juan Capistrano when she was based here in town covering the national homebuilding industry, and while working as the south coast editor for Orange County Local News Network
Her reporter's instinct draws her to a love of mysteries (co-founding the Orange County Chapter of Sisters in Crime) and movies. Curiosity is at the core of her career and interests.
