John Roos, Community Contributor

John Roos has been freelance writing since 1984. Orange County-based until October 2019 and now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, he has focused on rock, blues, Americana, Cajun-Zydeco and world music features and reviews with an emphasis on aspiring local musicians and established national and international acts who still value creative independence. John has also worked for many years as a volunteer for the Newport Beach Film Festival (NBFF) and Critical Review judge for the Southern California Journalism Education Association (SCJEA).
