In 1937 my family moved from Minnesota to Laguna Beach. We lived on Holly Street and I went to junior high school. I fell in love with this charming little town, so after we moved back to Minnesota in 1939 I couldn't wait to come back to Laguna. That happened in the summer of 1944, but only for a three month vacation since I was then attending Riverside Junior College.

In late April of 1945 I married Capt. Wallace G. Wethe, USMC and we spent our honeymoon in Laguna. Not until 1959 when my husband got stationed at El Toro and retired were we able to live here permenantly for fifteen years allowing our three children to grow up attending the Laguna schools.

In 1975 we moved to a 60 acre ranch in southern Oregon for eight years, then to Bellevue Washington. I was widowed in 1965, have moved several times since, married Dr. Forbes Robertson, a retired geology professor in 1998. I am again widowed and am now living in the charming little Quail Creek area of Laguna Hills near my daughter, Robin Wethe Altman.

My special interests are writing (one book called Claudia's Home which was published in 2006 and numerous essays and articles,) clay sculpting, reading and bridge. When I drive to Laguna Beach I still feel like I am driving home.
